One dead, several injured in road mishap

Tezpur, June 12: One died and several sustained serious injuries when a tractor carrying about 50 members of a kirtan party, including a minor, was hit by a truck bearing number–AS-07-A-4452 at Jamuguri Bakula area on NH 15 under PS Jamuguri PS in Sonitpur district on Saturday night. The team was travelling from Choibari Borachuk area. The deceased who died on the spot was identified as Anja Gur (45). In the incident, 12 persons were injured seriously, three of whom were rushed to the Tezpur Kaklata Civil Hospital while nine were admitted in the Jamuguri 30-bedded PHC.
