One killed , 11 injured in road accidents

BOKAKHAT, April 16: One person was killed and as many as 11 people sustained serious injuries in two separate road accidents on Wednesday. One Dipu Basfore (35) died on the spot one Gypsy knocked him down on NH 37 at Jagiroad while he was crossing the road. Police has seized the gypsy which was on the way to Guwahati. Police have seized the gypsy and apprehended the driver of the vehicle. The driver has been identified as Raju Sor. In a separate accident, 11 person were injured at Bokakhat on Wednesday. Police sources said that the accident took place at Panidihing area under Kamargaon police station here when a gaon bound Traveler (As-03-E-9486) coming from Jorhat collided head on with a Tata Indigo. The driver of the Traveler Tayubuddin Ahmed Ahmed (40) and handyman Babul Saikia were seriously injured along with nine passengers. The injured passengers have been admitted to Bokakhat Civil Hospital. Five critically injured passengers including the driver and the handyman have been shifted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital.
