One killed, 2 injured in road accidents

SHILLONG, May 11: A motorist along with the pillion rider sustained injuries when the motorbike (ML08A – 1320) was involved in a collision with a truck (AS18C – 0098) coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place at Romggre under Dadenggre Block, West Garo Hills and the motorist identified as Salseng Sangma (52) and the pillion rider Balen Marak (45) were later shifted to Dadenggre CHC. In another tragic incident one person lost his life when the vehicle (ML04C – 2203) heading towards Khliehriat from Lumshnong was involved in a head on collision with a truck (NL01K – 1090) at Nongsning under Khliehriat Block, East Jaintia Hills. The driver of the vehicle died on the spot and a co-passenger sustained injuries. The injured co-passenger identified as Ricky Shylla (31) was immediately to Khliehriat CHC.
