One killed in road mishap - 25 Apr, 2016

TINSUKIA, April 24: In a tragic road accident, a couple riding a bike (AR 09-A1367) collided against a 10-wheeler truck (AS01CC7763) in the busy AT Road in Tezpur on Sunday. While the wife, yanmoni Hazarika (23) died on the spot, the husband Tamat Zerang (32), a junior engineer working in e Air Force Chabua, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to AMCH, Dibrugarh. According to eye-witnesses, the bike, which was behind the truck, lost control while trying to overtake the truck from the wrong side. The wife fell from the bike and was crushed under the rear wheel of the truck and later extricated by crane. Zerang sustained injuries in the legs and is in a critical condition.
