One killed in road mishap at Demow

DEMOW, Jan 2: A man was killed in a road mishap on Friday at Dekhari Tili in NH-37 Road near Demow. The victim was hit by a car.  Demow Police reached the spot as soon as they got information about the accident and took the seriously injured man to Demow Model Hospital but due to his serious injury, the doctor referred him to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh but he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.  A PAN card was found in the victim’s pocket belonging to Deb Kanta Dehingia, whose father is Dhani Dehingia. The body is in AMCH and till the filing of the report the victim’s identification had not been established.
