One killed, several injured in road accident near Rowta Chariali

DHEKIAJULI: Surajit Roy died in a road accident at Bhalukmari near Rowta Chariali on Tuesday. According to Rowta Police, an Alto car bearing registration no. AS-12-G-5960 which was going towards Dhekiajuli collided with a Tata AC bearing registration no. AS-25-BC-4402 at Bhalukmari near Rowta Chariali. In the head-on collision, Surajit Ray succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rowta Civil Hospital. The other persons who were seriously injured in the accident are Rustam Ali, Bhola Sheikh, Abed Ali , Kasham Ali and Abdul Samad. All the injured persons were admitted in Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. Surajit Ray was an inhabitant of Dhekiajuli town.
