One murdered in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, May 13: Sensation prevailed at Golaghat when a dead body was recovered from the house of Montu Sahu of Pulibor area under Golaghat Police station on Saturday. The dead body has been indentified as that of Indrajit Saikia, aged about 38 years and a resident of Jyoti gar under Golaghat police station. Saikia was strangulated with a rope at Montu Sahu’s home.

The sources said that Indrajit Saikia gave a drilling machine to Montu Sahu to use a few days back. But Montu Sahu did not return the machine back to Indrajit. On the day of his murder, Indrajit came to his home to take back his drilling machine. After some time Montu took Indrajit into his room and after sometime Montu came back and locked it from out side. The family members of Montu Sahu became suspicious and opened the locked room and found the dead body of Indrajit Saikia lying on the ground. The police later on seized a scooty, which was used by Indrajit Saikia and recovered a huge amount of rcotic tablets from Montu Sahu’s home..
