One survivor rescued 60 hours after Chi landslide

Beijing, Dec 23: One man was pulled out of debris alive early Wednesday, more than 60 hours after a landslide hit an industrial park in Chi’s Shenzhen city. Tian Zeming, 19, was rescued around 6.30 a.m. (local time) and rushed to the hospital, Xinhua reported. He was in stable condition and taken to the operating room to receive a surgical debridement, said Wang Guangming, president of the hospital.

Tian was one among the 76 people who were reportedly missing in Sunday’s landslide. Tian told rescuers his me and said there was another survivor near him. However, the person beside Tian was pronounced dead by the doctors after he was retrieved, according to rescuers. (IANS)
