Online Correction In Draft National Register of Citizens (NRC) Extended

GUWAHATI: The online correction of names in draft NRC has been extended till March 15 this year. Earlier, it was supposed to expire on February 28. The offline name correction in draft NRC expired way back on January 31 this year.

According to information received, this is the last such extension. If you want to get errors in your names corrected in the draft National Register of Citizens you need to visit www.nrcassam.nic.in wherein you will get ‘Online National Register of Citizens Draft Correction Portal’. Clicking the portal you need to give your mobile number, application receipt number (ARN) and legacy data code. The system will then lead you for registration and a whole lot of instructions for you to comply with. In doing so you will get the error/errors in your name/names corrected.

So far, around ten lakh National Register of Citizens applicants have applied for online correction of errors in draft National Register of Citizens.
