Opportunity awaits youths for recruitment in Army

Silchar, March 21: A matriculate or a post matriculate can easily walk to join recruitment rally for being appointed to different posts in consideration of their merit and physical fitness. The unspecified vacancies exist for jawans, technicians, clerks, nursing assistants, store-keepers etc. Preference in recruitment will be given to the dependents of ex-service men and those who have laid down their lives for mother land, NCC trained cadets, sports persons, as well as their families.

  Director and Colonel Chandra Shekhar Bandale of the Army Recruitment Centre here said at a press-briefing on Friday the rally for the candidates of Karimganj will be held on April 1, for Cachar on April 2, for Dima Hasao District on April 3 and to conclude at Hailakandi on April 4. The rallies for all the districts will be held in the DSA ground of Haflong. All processes in respect of rally would be held at Haflong, he pointed out. After the rally, candidates will have to appear for a written test to be held on May 31 in the Masimpur cantonment.

  For participation in the rally, there is no need of filling up forms or submitting bio-data. It will be through a fair and transparent method that the recruitment will be conducted. Nobody has to lobby or approach through backdoor or take the help of a middleman. Candidates have to bring with them 12 passport size photographs and 2 copies of attested certificates along with their origils. They must be between 157 cm and 160 cm in height.
