Over 1,000 compete at Chi-Mongolia sports meet

Hohhot, May 7: More than 1,000 sports lovers from Chi and Mongolia participated in a friendly sports meet that kicked off on Saturday in Erenhot, a border city in Chi’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Participants, mainly from Chi’s Erenhot and its neighboring city Zamin-Uud of Mongolia, will take part in a variety of sport events, such as futsal, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis and some entertaining games, organizers said. The friendly sports meet debuted in 2014, aiming to promote communication and culture exchange between Chinese and Mongolian people. Erenhot has been a hub for Chi’s economic, trade and cultural ties with Mongolia. IANS
