Pakistan observes Kashmir Day

Islamabad, February 5: Pakistan on Thursday observed Kashmir Day to express solidarity with the people of Pakistan–administered Kashmir (PoK). Kashmir Day is observed annually in Pakistan to remind the intertiol community about its commitments regarding Kashmiris’ right to self–determition, Geo News reported. Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister waz Sharif have urged the intertiol community to fulfill its promise to the Kashmiris, of granting them their right to self–determition through a free and fair plebiscite, as only a just solution can bring lasting peace in the area. Various programmes have been arranged by the political and religious parties to highlight the day’s importance. (IANS)
