Pala urges mdong peoples to preserve indigenous culture

Jowai, Sept 26:  In a one day programme organized by the Dorbar Shnong mdong, West Jaintia Hills district in collaborated with the office of Arts and Culture on the theme “Restoring the Cultural”, Member of Parliament from Shillong Vincent Pala urged the people of mdong areas to preserve the culture of indigenous people. While speaking on the occasion as a chief quest Pala admired the organiners and encouraged them to take the responsibility for preserve the culture of the people who resided in the border areas of Meghalaya and Assam. Pala also agreed to contribute the amount of Rs.10,00,000  from his MP fund for the construction of Mini Auditorium at mdong village. On the same day Pala released the Souvenir of the mdong Dorbor Shong.
