Pallav shines in Assam win against Odisha

GUWAHATI, Feb 5: Assam ended the Mushtaq Ali T20 Zol Cricket meet with a win against Odisha in Kolkata today. Assam won the last group tie by 6 wickets.

Chasing 144 runs to win, Assam didn’t face too much problem as opener Pallav Das displayed a good show with his bat. The left handed batsman today played a quick knock of 51runs in 30 balls. The innings studded with 8 boundaries and one six. Amit Verma (31) and captain Karthick (28no) also contributed with the bat.  

Earlier elected to bat, Odisha put fighting total (143-7 in their 20 overs), even though middle order failed to deliver as per the expectation. Biplab Samamtary (50) was the major contributor for Odisha. Amit Verma (3-19) came out with best bowling figure.
