Pancha Kundia Gayatri Maha-Yagya kicks off

TANGLA, Feb 12: With the aim of reviving the Vedic culture of ‘Yagya’ to harmonize the ecological balance, purify the gross and the sublimil environment of ture and life, and to effectuate creation of heavenly atmosphere in Hattigarh TE, a  three day-long pancha kundia maha-yagya, specifically targeting ethical, moral and spiritual awakening and tiol integration among the people, kicked off at Hattigarh Gayatri Mandir premises near Hattigarh TE in Udalguri on Monday. The event being conducted by the Gayatri Pariwar of Hattigarh, was graced by four priests headed by Kubesh Prasad Sahyogi from Shantikunj, the headquarter of All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP). The priests stressed the principle philosophy of Yug Nirman Yoja, literally meaning movement for the reconstruction of the era for moral-spiritual regeneration.
Head priest Kubesh Prasad Sahyogi said, “Expansion of tiol unity, amity and brotherhood and extinction of hatred, and strife from the world are being attempted by popularizing gayatri mantra, yaj and sacramental rites which will go a long way in invoking celestial thoughts and inspiration for divine deeds.”
A kalash yatra was also taken out by devotees which was iugurated by Noi Serfang, MCLA Suresh Tanti and led in a traditiol manner by an elephant. The three-day programme will witness various yagyas and installation ceremony of idol of Goddess Gayatri in the newly-built temple.
