Panic-stricken Tripura woman dies after quake

Agartala, April 26: A 35-year-old woman died of heart attack after she panicked during the earthquake in Tripura, an official said here on Sunday. “Krish Sinha became frightened during the earthquake on Saturday. She suffered cardiac arrest at her home in Betchara village in Ukoti district (Tripura). She was shifted to a hospital where she died at night,” said an official of the disaster magement control room. The official said several buildings, mostly offices, were affected due to the earthquake and cracks were visible in many houses across Tripura. Over 1,800 people have died so far in Nepal after the 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Himalayan country on Saturday. (IANS)
