Para-legal training conducted

Dibrugarh, Feb 4:  A day long para-legal training was organized by the Alumni Association, Monohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority on Saturday. Assistant Professor, Centre for Juridical Studies, Dibrugarh University (DU), Dr Deepam Barua was invited to deliver a talk-cum-interactive programme to the students. Dr Barua spoke in details about the basis of crimil law, including how to write first information report, definition of offences, arrest, warrant of arrest and how to get bail. Secretary of Dibrugarh District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA), rayan Sankar Barua, also spoke on the role of DDLSA. The lively interactive session among students and resource persons helped in dissemiting valuable information which enhanced the knowledge of students on legal matters.
