’Paradigm shift in government strategy for development’

Itagar, January 22: Continuing with his commitment to bring administration to people’s doorsteps, the Chief Minister bam Tuki on Wednesday iugurated the ADC (Independent) headquarters at Ruksin in East Siang district amidst huge gathering.

Addressing the gathering at general ground Pasighat, Tuki said, "It has been a long pending demand of the people keeping in view the difficulties being faced by them due to its dense populations and geographical location," reports DIPR.

Informing about Aruchal Vision–2030 the CM said the document would encompass six broad areas – ebling infrastructure, economic potential, social sectors, social harmony, border development and resource mobilization and contain both long–term and medium–term strategies to accelerate the development process.

"Three committees are being constituted to identify challenges, set targets and work out a detailed development strategy for the Vision Document including, a Cabinet Committee, a Committee of Secretaries and a Committee of Experts. These committees will firm up framework and prepare a draft vision document within six months after consultations, field visits and also incorporating public opinion at the village, block, district and state level. The committees will also propose a comprehensive institutiol mechanism to achieve the targets assigned in the vision document," he added.

The chief minister further informed that the present government had made a paradigm shift in its strategy to promote tourism, education, health, hydropower, agriculture, horticulture, employment generation, sports and games etc.

Stating that DMO Dr D Bagra was the best in the state who implemented "Chief Minister Universal Health Insurance Scheme" in true spirit for larger interest of the people of East Siang district, he advised the people to avail optimum benefits out of the schemes.

For Ruksin area in particular, Tuki urged the people to dote lands to set up solar powerhouse so that Niglok Industrial Growth Center could be converted into productive and revenue generating and also fully functiol to provide jobs to unemployed youths.

While responding to a memorandum submitted by ZPM Toggeng Panyang, he assured to sanction 30 crore for renovation of MMR road in addition to 2 crore for shortcut link road via Lingka village, the report said.

The chief minister while instructing the administration to make a master plan for the Ruksin township to make it a model ADC headquarter, further assured to provide 5 crore for construction of multi–storied mini secretariat building and 80 lakhs for teachers’ quarters in next fincial year.

He called upon the people to cooperate with the government in all developmental works and also avail the benefit that is being provided by government under various schemes.

"People should maintain their best relationship with the people of neighboring Assam to live peaceably together and no one should encourage elements that spread hatred among the two sister states," the CM advised. Among others, Health Minister Rajesh Tacho, Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering, Parliamentary Secretary Tatung Jamoh, MLA Kaling Moyong, DIG LH Shanlia, DC Nidhi Srivastava, SP Devendar Arya, ADC In–Charge T Pada (SDO), former minister Bosiram Siram, ZPC Kaling Dai, CC Denong Tamuk and ZPMs of the areas were present on the occasion, the report added.
