Paramjit Rawal takes over as NFR Chief Security Commissioner

GUWAHATI, July 23: Paramjit Singh Rawal has joined as IG cum Chief Security Commissioner, N.F. Railway on July 22, stated a press release. He belongs to 1980 exam batch of Civil Services which is the 1st batch of class-I officers of RPF and joined as Assistant Security Commissioner. He has served in Divisions like Lucknow, Dhanbad, Asansol, Sealdah etc. as Divisiol Security Officer and Senior Divisiol Security Officer which were known for difficult postings in respect of crime against Railway property. He has also worked in Zol Headquarters of South Central Railway and Northern Railway. He has worked as IG/Crime & Intelligence, Railway Board and has undergone magement training at Singapore and Malaysia in 2007 and attended workshop on Railway Security under the aegis of UIC in Rome in 2013. He has been awarded the coveted Indian Police Medal in 2006 for meritorious services and President Police Medal in 2007 for distinguished services.
