Parikshit cruises into semis

GUWAHATI, Nov 23: Assam lad Parikshit Somani cruised into the semi fils of the singles event in the ITF Juniors World Ranking Tennis Tourment at Chachal Tennis complex here today.  In the quarter fils Parikshit today defeated Himanshu Mor, also from India, by 6-2, 6-0.  In another Boys quarter fil match wild card Sumitpal Singh of India caused a major upset by defeating 5th seed Srivatsa Ratakonda in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. In the Girls Singles quarter fils 3rd seed Shivani Swarup Ingle has crashed out of the tourment losing to 7th seed Sravya Chilakalapudi in three hard fought sets 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.
