Party calks out campaign strategy

SHILLONG, Jan 22: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Campaign Committee that was constituted for the ensuing Assembly polls in the State met at Congress Bhavan here on Monday with State Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh in the chair.
The committee chalked out campaign strategies and thoroughly discussed poll-related matters, besides working out modalities for smooth campaigning in the State. Public meeting schedules and venues were also discussed where the star campaigners of the party will address the public. 
The 15-member Campaign Committee has Lok Sabha member from Shillong Vincent Pala.
AICC president Rahul Gandhi is expected to campaign for party candidates in Khasi Hills and Garo Hills.
Meanwhile, AICC general secretary in-charge for Meghalaya CP Joshi is going to chair a meeting of the election committee of the party on Tuesday. The meeting will scrutinize the mes of party candidates for the AICC to give its nod.
