Pasighat deserves smart city status: Moyong

ITAGAR, June 23: Pasighat has huge potentials to get a place in second phase top 27 cities, stated Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong on Wednesday while chairing a consultative meeting on smart city Project in Delhi.

The meeting was attended by MEO Rahul Singh, MSN Infra director Sudhir Malik, PWC director N Murthy and DDF senior architect Punit Bhardwaj.

The newly framed area based development and PAN city project report includes city profile, visions and goal and prioritization of tourism for economic development would be submitted to the urban development ministry at the end of June, informed Moyong in an official statement on Wednesday.

While claiming that Pasighat deserves to be a smart city, the MLA stated that the centurion city has surplus lands and vast scope for extension of human habitation, modern and sustaible employment and revenue generations and promotion of tourism industry.  Rail, air and waterways have added more hopes and can fulfill the criteria framed by the union ministry, asserted Moyong.
