Passenger special between Silchar & Guwahati cancelled for 3 days

Silchar, Sept 13: A portion of about 100 metres railway track between Lamsakhang and Habaipur near Lumding sank three days ago which necessitated imposing restriction on the speed of trains running on this section, keeping in mind the safety and security of passengers. As most of the long distance trains run through this section from Dibrugarh, Agartala and Silchar railway stations, their speed has to be kept within the permissible limit. It has therefore become imperative to cancel or termite a few trains to keep the track clear for long distance trains. Of these trains, 05631 / 05632 passenger special between Guwahati and Silchar has to be cancelled for three days effective from September 17.
