Passing out parade of SF-10’s first batch

SHILLONG, Oct 3:  The Commanding Officer, Special Force-10 has informed that the Passing out Parade of the 1st Batch of SF-10 Commandos and Law and Order Group will be held at the 1st MLP Battalion Parade Ground on October 5 from 11:30 am onwards.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will take the salute as Chief Guest at the passing out parade which is expected to be attended by the Council of Ministers, Senior Police officials, Government officials, other dignitaries and family members of the Passing Out cadets.

The SF-10 was created as there was a need for the State to have its own specialized force to deal with counter-insurgency operations, crowd control and magement during law and order situations.
