Patanjali Ayurveda Group to set up mega herbal and food park at Ghoramari

Tezpur, November 4: At a press meet on Friday, Uday Goswami of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Northeast, said that Patanjali Ayurveda group was planning to set up a mega herbal and food park at the AIDC complex, Ghoramari in Tezpur under Sonitpur district for the development of the cultivators of the Northeast and to create employment by bringing in industrial development.

He further said that after completion of the project, direct employment opportunity would be created for 6,000 people and several lakh cultivators would be benefited from it and the production units which would be constructed at Rs 1,200 crore. The project is likely to start form January next year. The unit is to set up covering a land area of 450 bigha at AIDC Complex, Goramari. Patanjali Group has planned to set up the world’s largest medicil plant garden at Sijossa, Aruchal Pradesh on a plot area of 21,000 bigha and the mega herbal and food park of Patanjali at Ghoramari would be the second food park of Patanjali after Haridwar, he said.

The foundation-stone laying ceremony of the Patanjali Mega Herbal and Food Park will be held on November 6 at Ghoramari AIDC complex. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and CEO of Patanjali Ayurveda, Achrchya Balakrish will be present at the ceremony. Chief Minister Sabanda Sonowal will also be present in the ceremony along with other dignitaries and ministers, including Ministers of State Babul Supriyo and Rajen Gohain , State Ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chandra Mohan Patowari, Ranjit Dutta, Parimal Suklya Baidya, Pramila Rani Brahma, Rihon Daimari and Pallab Lochan Das, BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary and MPs RP Sarma and Kamakhya Prashad Tassa, Uday Goswami added.
