It seems that changes in the poor conditions of the road are still a far cry. Vehicle riders and pedestrians have to move across the town. Muddy and slippery streets have made it difficult for people to walk and drive freely.

Owing to pitiful condition of the road, students, commuters, patients and employees have to face hardship in reaching their destitions. Many parts of the streets of this town are dotted with potholes and are bumpy. A number of auto drivers and motorcycle riders have met with accidents due to the cobbled roads. Bikers usually loose control when they encounter these potholes. Lack of planning on the part of both Silchar Municipal Board and Town and Country Planning department has added to the woes of the people and invited their wrath.

In the fil alysis, it can be said that if necessary steps are not taken by the authorities concerned, the residents will have to continue using such roads. People should raise their voice in unison for remedial action.
