PCDR withdraws 36-hour Kokrajhar district bandh

KOKRAJHAR, July 13: People’s Coordition for Democratic Rights (PCDR) has withdrawn the 36-hour Kokrajhar district bandh called in protest against the delay of four lane construction work, massive corruption in various departments of the council, violation of rule in collection of taxes in Srirampur inter-State check gate and excesses of army on the common people. Sources from the PCDR informed that the bandh had been withdrawn after the district administration gave assurance for discussing the problems with the PCDR. They also warned that they would not sit silent if action was not taken against corruption.
