SHILLONG, Dec 10: Rev GS Lyttan, Administrative Secretary General of Presbyterian Church of India (PCI), has urged the militant outfits in the state to join the peace process.

He said this today in a progamme held here to announce about the Christmas Carol service to be held at Polo Sports complex December 12 from 1PM.

“This is for the first time PCI has taken an initiative to organize a Christmas Carol in the state and we have invited all the churches or Christians in and around Shillong,” Lyttan told newsmen here on Thursday.

“We also want the militant outfits of the state to come and join the mainstream for restoration of peace in the state,” he said.

“We want to celebrate this Christmas with a message of peace around the globe. The theme of this Christmas Carol service is ‘Peace and Harmony’,” he said.

He said that kids can come to the carol wearing Christmas outfits half an hour before the service starts and that there will also be a playing area for the kids.
