PDCK slams Assam DGP

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 25: People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Anglong came down heavily against the remarks of Assam DGP Mukesh Sahay who said that the militant outfit was involved in rhino poaching in Kaziranga tiol Park.

In a statement, the self-styled captain of the PDCK, David Mukrang, said the allegations made by DGP of Assam Police, Mukesh Sahay against the PDCK of rhino poaching had made him a laughing stock before the people of Assam. He alleged that Mukesh Sahay was involved in corrupt practices.

 David said the population of rhinos was decreasing day-by-day in Kazir Arong or Kaziranga because of the deep nexus between DGP Sahay and Bangladeshi immigrant rhino poachers. He also said the PDCK was committed to stop ehino poaching in Kazir Arong or Kaziranga within 2017 and would always stand as a stumbling block against the Sahay-Bangladeshi poachers’ nexus.
