Peace and harmony leads to a country's development: Gobindopuri

SILCHAR, Oct 28: Islamist thinker Maula Hazrat Ahmed Sayyed Gobindopuri said that the Supreme Court should not intervene in the matters of persol Muslim laws related to marriage, divorce, as it has been deemed as unconstitutiol and it may hurt the sentiments of people belonging to this religion.

He spoke at length about the significance of peace and harmony at Kaliganj recently. He said that Indian Constitution is exemplary which provides for equality of all religions and any intervention is unconstitutiol.

 Gobindopuri also said that India, being a multi-lingual and multi-religious secular democratic country, allows its citizens to practice their own religion and its fundamental principles. Therefore, any discrimition based on caste, creed, race, religion and language, is unconstitutiol. India is a home to many diverse religions, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and others and so a peaceful atmosphere has to be sustained in order to lead the county towards a healthy growth and development. There are about 30 crores Muslims in India and their religion is about world peace and social harmony, he opined.

He further said that Allah’s wise words of advice has been written in the holy and sacred Quran and Islam religion is Allah own creation which is pious and pure. Universities of Darul Uloom and Saharanpur along with many other world famous Islamic establishments are there and they should teach the true essence of the religion.

Gobindopuri said that person could pursue a sound life without gaining adequate knowledge about the world, one’s own soul. Bishwa vi Hazrat Mohammad said a wise and learned man’s ink is more pure, pious and sacred than a martyr’s blood. The Prophet had said that to be wise and knowledge, one should broaden his or her outlook.
