Peace meeting held over Laluk incident

Lakhimpur, July 27: A peace meeting was held at the Lakhimpur's Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall regarding the Laluk beef incident where a bag of beef was allegedly kept in the Podumoni amghar. Dibakar Doley, ADC, members of Axam Xahitya Xabha, members of All Assam Students’ Union,Lakhimpur committee, NGOs, members of Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad, Principals of various schools and colleges and various jourlists were present in the meeting. The meeting was held to urge the people to maintain peace and harmony, and most importantly to prevent rumours.
