Pediatrics meet from today

SHILLONG, Dec 8: The 24th Annual Conference of East Zone Academy of Pediatrics and 14th MEGHPEDICON, the two-day annual conference of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Meghalaya State Branch, will be held at the State Convention Centre here on December 9 and 10. The objective of this mega conference is to bring about changes and solutions to benefit the child health scerio in the northeastern states of India. Altogether 300 delegates from the 12 States of eastern and northeastern India will be joining the discussions on the burning issues pertaining to children’s health.

The two-day mega conference will comprise 42 lectures, five panel discussions, brainstorming and doubt-clearing sessions with the scientific sessions and paper presentations by senior teachers, young pediatricians and postgraduate students, stated a press release.

 The discussions will also throw light on various dimensions like preventive health measures, stress in schools, nutritiol aspects, among others.
