People demand construction of roads, stage blockade

GAURISAGAR, June 15: Brihattar Samaguri Yuva Samaj, Songrami Yuva Chatra Parishad, Pradeshik Mahila Samiti, Krishak Mukti Songram Samiti and local people of greater Samaguri area on the outskirts of Amguri LAC in Sivasagar district  blocked the historic Dhudor Ali at Samaguri Tini Ali.

 The organizations as well as the public have been demanding  the authority concerned to  construct and repair Seuni Ali, Mehgarh Ali, Mout Gaon road, Seuniali-Balipara road, Dhudar Ali- Samaguri  road for a long time. But the authority allegedly turned a deaf ear.

 Frustrated, the people came out on the streets today. In the protest, Ahom Se and Tai Yuva Parishad also participated. After the protest, the people of the locality submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Circle Officer, Amguri  demanding fulfillment of their demand.
