People have reposed faith in me: Sanbor Shullai

SHILLONG, March 4: In an exclusive interview with The Sentinel, newly elected BJP MLA from South Shillong constituency Sanbor Shullai said that the people still have faith in his style of functioning in the constituency as they have seen the work being done and implemented in the past five years. Hence the people have once again reposed their faith on him for the second time.

“The people have given me their support because they have seen my work and now I would like to thank them for their support and helping me to attain victory from the constituency,” Shullai  said on Sunday.

He said there are candidates who had contested against him from the constituency from other political parties and had been accusing him on various issues, especially highlighting that that the BJP is against the Christians, Muslims and people other faiths. However, the people are wise and rejected all the accusations, he added. He said, “Now BJP is in power in Delhi and this will further benefit the people of South Shillong constituency and the State as a whole in terms of various developmental activities.”

He further said that with the BJP at the Centre he will be able to fulfill the aspirations and wishes of the people of his constituency and the people of Meghalaya even better.
