People of four panchayats oppose inclusion in Dhemaji district

Dhemaji, September 26: People of four panchayats of Pascim Machkhowa under Dhakuakha Assembly constituency have expressed resentment at the decision taken by the government to put them under Dhemaji district, which will be inconvenient for them. Dhakuakha Jila Suraksha Manch vehemently opposed the government’s decision. They said that all their official work had been carried out under Dhakuakha subdivision since a long time. Suddenly the decision taken by the government has shocked them and they strongly opposed it. The people of these panchayats have urged the State Government to review the decision.
