People of NE urged  to work unitedly

Joysagar, May 21: “In the past, we were one – geographically, economically and socially. But due to the political situation we had to accept geographical divisions and then various divisions were created between us. Due to political conspiracy we have to remain divided despite being one family,” said Bhargava Chaudhari while addressing a mass gathering.

The Indian Patriotic Federation (Socialist) (IPFS) had arranged a seminar on Monday in Kalibari, Sivasagar town. The topic of the seminar was ‘North East, Unity and Development Aspects’. The seminar was chaired by IPFS vice-president Ratneswar Hazarika where IPFS chief advisor Bhargava Chaudhari took part as the key speaker. Chaudhari focused on various development aspects of the north-eastern region and also asked everyone to be remain united for all-round development. “The Look-East or Work-East policy is nothing but an approach to bring about development in the NE States in order to make India a super power in South Asia,” said Dr Mrinal Kanti Mishra. Ratneshwar Hazarika reiterated that the people of the Northeast should work for unity, peace and development and make the north-eastern States a role model for the other States of the country. Earlier, noted educationist Kunja Mohan Dutta lit the earthen lamp in memory of the freedom fighters of the Northeast.
