Tezpur, Jan 29: With a mission to provide accessible, affordable and quality eye care to common people, ERC Eye Care was started with its innovative ‘Hub and model’ in June, 2013. Within a short span of four years, ERC Eye Care has provided services to more than 1,55,000 people in Assam and the Northeast. Its third hub and hospital has been iugurated at Mission Chariali in Sonitpur district with consultation fee of Rs 50 only. Dr Parveez Ubed, CEO and founder of ERC Eye Care Hospital said, “We started ERC to empower the common person to get the best eye care available at nomil cost, without compromising on quality and we are happy to change the lives of many people in the last four years and hope that the people of Sonitpur district will be greatly benefitted.” He further added that the Tezpur Hub was supported by the Ministry of DoNER, NEDFI and several intertiol organizations.
