People stage road blockade, demand early repair of road

UDALGURI, June 24:  The people of Harisinga gathered at Kothalguri and blocked the Harisinga-Tangla road.

The road is lying in a dilapidated condition for years. The people submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister for early repair of the road. Rinjoy Boro, the secretary ABSU, addressed the rally.

“The public representatives come during the election season and they deceive the common people with false promises every time. People, especially students, have been facing trouble due to thedeplorable road condition,” he said.  The people slammed MP Ramen Deka, BTC EM Bonjar Daimari and local MLA and State Minister Rihon Daimari for their iction towards addressing the people’s woes. Hundreds of people gathered and blocked the road for two hours.
