People urged to adopt safe birth control methods

DHEKIAJULI, July 13: On the occasion of World Population Day, Dhekiajuli Primary Health Centre, Dhekiajuli is celebrating the population bi-week from July 11 till   July 24.
The nurses, Asha workers and health workers  of  Dhekiajuli  PHC   organized  several  awareness programmes in different villages of Dhekiajuli   for birth control among the public.  Participating in the programme, the SDM & O, Dhekiajuli, Dr Anuradha Boruah elaborated on the safe birth control methods to be adopted. The district coorditor of health and family planning, Baharul  Ulum Choudhury said that in the villages people were basically superstitious in ture and they did not want to adopt the scientific method for birth control. Sangita Das, DME, NRHM of Dhekiajuli PHC  also  addressed the  meet.
