ITANAGAR, June 25: Former Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) of Borum and advocate by profession Techi Tolu has urged rhe people to be cautious during the monsoon season. Speaking to The Sentinel he said: “I have been warning every citizen of the State that people should be very cautious during the monsoon season as many life is lost due to natural calamity.”
He said that people living near river banks must be also very cautious during the monsoon season. One should stay away from the river sides and all such areas which are prone to flood and landslides.
He appealed to the people living on the bank of rivers to maintain precautionary measures for safety of life and property. He further said that people should avoid construction works during the monsoon season.
Reacting to the recent incident where five labourers from Assam were buried alive following the collapse of a retaining wall of an under construction RCC building at Doni Colony, Itanagar, said that it is indeed very sad.
