People urged to cooperate to prepare error-free NRC

MORIGAON, Jan 25: As per order of Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, the district administration on Wednesday organized a public meeting on the topic ‘Role of Citizens in NRC updation process’ at Morigaon Bihutoli ground. Addressing people in the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Hemen Das said that people should come forward to cooperate with the administration so that an error-free NRC could be prepared. Earlier, the meeting was commenced with an iugural   speech by Jayanta Bora, ADC. Thereafter Anta Gogoi, ADC-cum-CRC and Jayanta Bora, ADC-cum-CRC explained the work-process of NRC and its updation in details. On the other hand, a public meeting was also organized where Himangsu Mahanta, president of AASU Morigaon, Bubumoni Goswami, chairman of MASS, Maneswar Deuri, noted Tiwa writer and Dr Puniram Pator spoke on the topic.
