Perform leadership role to maintain essential services : Kundra

Itagar, Dec 23: Aruchal Pradesh Power and Fince Commissioner Ashish Kundra has insisted on taking leadership role among the head of departments (HoDs) to maintain essential services to the people.

Kundra, who made a whirlwind visits to Pasight, Aalo and Mechuka to oversee the power scerio, implementation of hydel projects, Township roads, removal of utilities on highway roads and digital payment system, during a meeting with the HoDs on December 21 last asked them for serving show cause notices to the companies who have been entrusted to take up hydro electrical projects for not initiating any prelimiry works for many years. He also asked the district administration to monitor all developmental schemes and major projects that would largely benefit people of the township, an official report informed here today. He also insisted on land acquisition so that essential services could be established freely. Indexing and computer billing of Urban, Rural and Military and Para military should be done separately in order to assess exact power requirement, consumption and revenue generation, he said. He also stressed on convening a meeting with Power Grid to settle problems of transmission as early as possible.

The Commissioner also asked the district administration to gear up ways and means on demonetization and Digital Payment system in touch with banking and fincial institutions so that innocent people do not suffer under government policy and directions.

West Siang Deputy Commissioner Gamli Padu gave a detail power point presentation on various hydro power projects and innovative projects being proposed for Aalo township, the report added.
