Pesticides allegedly mixed in drinking water at Golaghat

Golaghat, March 13: Amidst Holi celebrations on Monday, sensation prevailed in the greater Borjan area in Golaghat when drinking water of a water supply project in the area was found to be allegedly poisonous.

According to sources, some unknown miscreants made holes in pipes used for drinking water supply from the only water supply project in the greater Borjan area in Golaghat. The miscreants allegedly mixed some pesticides and chemical substances through the holes in the water pipes.

On Monday, the employees of the water supply project saw leakage in the pipes and when they tried to check the pipes, the entire incident came to light. Soon sensation prevailed in the greater Borjan area. But who and with what purpose did this has not become clear.
