Petrol pump sealed at Gohpur

Gohpur, May 12: The Gohpur administration sealed the Sundaram Mahadeo Ghahigaon petrol pump on Thursday night on the basis of a complaint against the Petrol pump lodged by junior engineer of PWD Ramesh Hazarika in Halem police station. According to the statement of Ramesh Hazarika, he went to rayanpur along with his family on Wednesday night by his Volkswagen Polo car and entered the Sundaram Mahadeo Ghahigaon petrol pump for filling petrol in his car. “I filled ten litres of petrol in my car at Sundaram Mahadeo petrol pump Ghahigaon. My car started facing some technical problems after filling the petrol. So, I called a mechanic.  The mechanic then opened the oil tank and water mixed with petrol was found,” said Ramesh Hazarika.  After finding the cause, Ramesh Hazarika lodged a police complaint against the petrol pump and also informed the senior officers of district administration of Biswath and SDO Civil of Gohpur subdivision about this matter.  On the basis of his complaint, administration sealed the petrol pump at 11pm on Thursday night and have sent the sample of petrol to laboratory for investigation.
