Petroleum Minister's effigy burnt

GAURISAGAR, Sept 5: The activists of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Amguri Regiol Committee on Sunday  burnt the effigy of Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at  Amguri town in Sivasagar to protest against price hike  of LPG and petroleum products. The protest was led by Pranjal Hazarika and Mithu Dutta, president and secretary respectively of AJYCP, Amguri Regiol Committee. The protesters vehemently criticized the State Government for failing to check price hike despite assurances made during the elections.
