PHE Minister Rihon Daimari inaugurates Sub-treasury office at SDO(C) office in Bheragaon

A Correspondent TANGLA: State PHE Minister Rihon Daimari, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri, Dilip Kumar Das, inaugurated the sub-treasury office in the building of SDO (C), Bhergaon in Udalguri on Wednesday. An inaugural ceremony was also held where Bhergaon SDO(C), Dithakananda Hazarika delivered the inaugural speech. In his speech, Hazarika said that the Bhergaon SDO(C) office, established way back in 2004, lacked the infrastructure necessary and the sub-treasury office was a long-pending demand.

The function, presided over by BTC Deputy Speaker Nerswn Boro, was addressed by a host of speakers, including Kalaigaon MLA Maheswar Baro and Panery MLA Kamali Basumatari. The speakers reiterated that setting up of the sub-treasury office would benefit the government pensioners and government servants in Bhergaon subdivision. In his speech, Nerswn Boro acknowledged the role of both the MLAs for their efforts for the welfare of the region and also thanked Rihon Daimari for bringing welfare projects to the subdivision. Daimari said that the sub-treasury office would ease the problems of the government officials who earlier had to visit Udalguri or Kokrajhar for work. The sub-treasury will start functioning from December 1.

Meanwhile, Kalaigaon MLA Maheswar Baro expressed his astonishment at the fact that the Bhergaon Polytechnic was supposed to start functioning from this year but the construction work was yet to be completed by the contractor concerned.
