PHE Treatment Plant iugurated at Haflong

HAFLONG, March 10: With the iuguration of a PHE Treatment Plant constructed by the Public Health Engineering Depertment (PHED), Haflong here, a longfelt demand of the entire greater Haflong people has been fullfilled today. The Chief Executive Member of NC Hills Autonomous Council Debojeet Thaosen iugurated the PHE Treatment Plant this morning at Haflong in the presence of Executive Member Debo Prasad Hojai i/c PHE. The plant is a rapid sand filter and is estimated to filter about 1.40 lakhs litres of water in an hour. The treatment plant is constructed by the Haflong PHE Department. The programme was also attended by PHE Executive Engineer Lokman Ali, Haflong Town Committee Chairman Kalijoy Sengyung, Vice-Chairman John Phoitong among others.
