Phensedyl seized in Rangia

RANGIA, June 10: A team of Rangia police led by SI AK Handique recovered a huge quantity of phensedyl from a Tripura bound truck bearing registration no WB-41B- 7169 on NH 31 at Bhatkuchi area here today.  The truck was coming from Kolkata. According to SDPO Rangia Prab Kumar Pegu there are about 20,000 bottles of phensedyl.  Police detained the driver of the truck Sujit Paul of Dhalai Tripura. The market value of the seized phensydyl (used as drugs) is around 20 lakhs which are sold in high price in the black market, police said. According to the source this medicines are exported to Bangladesh via Tripura.
