Philosophy alumni meet

GUWAHATI, April 20: The department of Philosophy of Handique Girls’ College is organising an alumni meet for the first time on April 22 in the college premises from 2pm onwards. Dr Saraju Das, former Head of the Department of Philosophy and former Principal in-charge of Handique Girls’ College has been invited to grace the programme as chief guest. Prof. Dr Manisha Baruah from Department of Philosophy, Gauhati University and alumni of Department of Philosophy, Handique Girls’ College, has been invited as speaker. Dr. Baruah will speak on the topic ‘Religion and World Peace’. On behalf of the department, Dr. Madhuchanda Chaliha Bhuyan, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Handique Girls’ College has solicited the presence of all departmental alumni on that day, a press release stated.
