Philosophy teachers' meet from March 25

DIBRUGARH, February 27: The Centre for Studies in Philosophy, Dibrugarh University (DU) in collaboration with Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi, is organizing a two-day Philosophy Teachers’ Meet from March 25 here at  the university campus. The main theme of the meet is ‘Social Divisions and the Contribution of Philosophy to their Understanding’. The meet will emphasize on the philosophical bearing on the social sciences perspective on divisions such as community, class, caste, tribe and culture.

Over the last couple of years, ICPR, New Delhi is organizing Philosophy Teachers’ Meet in different parts of the country to eble teachers of Philosophy to come together and exchange ideas on problems of philosophy teaching and research in different institutions of higher studies in India. A number of distinguished and experienced resource persons and teachers of philosophy working in colleges and universities from the Northeast and throughout the country are expected to participate in the discussion.
